About Us

EquiSolutions is a boutique New Zealand based business where our philosophy is simple: we don’t believe in quick fixes or magic potions. Instead, we focus on well researched nutrition that genuinely helps horses feel their best – so they can perform at their best.

Horse rider with calm, focused horse

How it all started

EquiSolutions began with a very real need close to home. My daughter’s dressage horse, a warmblood bred as a prospective stallion, had been well-loved (and perhaps a little spoilt!) by his breeder. While he was beautifully trained in hand with respectful ground manners, his sensitive nature and spirited attitude often made him a little more reactive than we would like under saddle.

Like many horse owners in this situation, I wasn’t looking for a miracle cure – because there isn’t one. With the sensitivity and sharpness that often comes with such breeding, all you can really do is help “take the edge off” and support them so they can focus on their work without dulling their natural talent.

In my line of work, I’m fortunate to cross paths with many experts in animal nutrition. Through this, I met a talented nutritionist who had created his own custom blend for him and his family’s horses. After sharing ideas (and a few trials and tweaks), we developed a couple of blends that he agreed were even better than his original formula.

And so, EquiFocus and EquiFocus+ were born.

EquiFocus is a carefully balanced blend designed to support calm and focus
and assist with a horses trainability and wellbeing.

EquiFocus+ builds on the EquiFocus base with the added benefit of essential
vitamins and minerals for overall health and performance.

PUTTING IT TO THE TEST

Of course, I needed to know it truly worked – so we trialled it on my daughter’s horse. The results were fantastic. He became noticeably more focused, settled, and trainable, without losing his natural spark. That gave me the confidence to share it with others, knowing first-hand the difference it could make.
